PROJECT SUMMARY

The F2F (Farm to Fork) - Health Matters project is a European inter-cluster partnership, which aims to provide support services to innovative European SMEs - specialised in healthy food, techno-functional food and bio-based solutions and sustainable bio-based solutions - willing to internationalise their knowledge and healthy food products in new markets, contributing to healthier diets and greater well-being, throughout Europe and in new markets where there is a growing demand from new consumers and developing industries.

The project concept has the following characteristics:

Expected results:

  • Strategic cluster cooperation - maximising inter-regional and inter-cluster cooperation and orienting their strategies towards a competitive and singular European and international identity with the purpose of accelerating external business;

  • Joint development of internationalisation services - promote joint development of collaborative internationalisation services for European SMEs with increased contributions to better environmental/climate sustainability and neutrality, resource moderation, nutritional quality and bio-based uniqueness;

  • SME Internationalisation Journey - to offer a personalised support service of internationalisation strategies and information about international markets tailored to companies, with a realistic quantitative target and a clear geographical focus.

The F2F-HM project will maximise the opportunities for collaboration across regions and across Europe, and the ambition of the project is to accelerate the business of European SMEs in the health food sector to penetrate the market internationally.

The initial assumptions and analysis of the SMEs' strategic visions, combined with the maturity of the international partnerships already in place at cluster level, and the trends confirmed by the business information already available, led the F2F-HM partnership to select the following international markets: Canada, Japan, South Korea, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Vietnam.
