PROJECT SUMMARY

The high demands of the agro-industrial sector in terms of quality, food safety, innovation, and sustainability place significant constraints on SMEs due to limited resources and regulatory complexity.

The DigiTool4Agri project responds to these challenges by digitising production processes and procedures associated with certification.

It is based on four pillars:

  • Diagnosis;
  • Training;
  • Development of an integrated digital platform;
  • Capacity building for companies.

The platform will be available free of charge and aims to facilitate compliance with standards, accelerate certification processes, and promote a more efficient digital culture in the agro-industrial sector.

The work plan consists of the following activities:

A1. - Project management, ensuring administrative and financial management.

A2. - Diagnosis of needs, aiming to understand the needs of SMEs in the agro-industrial sector, as well as their preferences and difficulties in implementing, certifying and maintaining standards in the areas of Quality, Innovation and Environmental Sustainability. It also includes an assessment of the digital maturity level of companies in the sector, with the aim of adapting and customising the actions and tools to be developed within the scope of the project.

A3. - Raising awareness among SMEs about the implementation of standards, certifications and digitisation in the agro-industrial sector, by holding events that demonstrate and promote low-carbon technologies to companies in the agri-food sector.

A4. - Development of a centralised digital platform that provides all the information, tools and resources necessary for the implementation of standards.

A5. - Training SMEs in the use of the platform through workshops held in business hubs, aimed at companies targeted by the project, with the aim of ensuring effective use of the platform. At the same time, SMEs will be recruited to participate in the pilot testing phase.

A6. - Communication and dissemination of project results, promoting the dissemination of its results among SMEs in the agro-industrial sector.
