PROJECT SUMMARY:
The Project Taste & Feel Portugal has the objective of promoting the internationalization of the agri-food sector in conjunction with the wine tourism sector, boosting the increase in exports of more sophisticated and differentiated goods and services linked to territories, endogenous products and the rural world and strengthening international competitiveness of SMEs in the North, Center and Alentejo regions of this sector.
The project presents itself as incremental and disruptive to the projects that the entities have in progress, constituting a form of integrated promotion of the territory, its uniqueness, its natural, cultural and heritage heritage, its distinctive origin (Terroir) able to give visibility to Portuguese products and services in international markets. This approach reinforces and supports a strategy outlined for the Portuguese economy and for collective actions, as framed in PORTUGAL2020, in particular, intervening directly in a serious contribution to the international recognition and association of Portugal's image with the quality and sustainability of goods and services produced in Portugal in the wine tourism and agro-food industry, enhancing its sophistication and innovation and supporting SMEs in the introduction of process and marketing innovation in their international businesses. Therefore, it directly contributes to the objectives and priorities defined in the Notice and to the reinforcement of international competitiveness and increase in exports by Portuguese SMEs.
