PROJECT SUMMARY
The INOV2B Project - Inoovate by being an entrepreneur in the region of Beira Baixa and Beiras and Serra da Estrela aims to promote entrepreneurship in the regions of Beira Baixa and Beiras and Serra da Estrela, supporting companies, businessmans and current or potential entrepreneurs to better adapt to the change in a context of uncertainty, by stimulating entrepreneural spirit and territorial competitiveness in the region. It aims to provide training for the generation of innovative ideas/products, for the implementation of new business initiatives and the creation of new companies, especially in qualified and creative entrepreneurship in the Agrifood and ICT sectors and in the activities of the Cultural, Creative and Automation and Robotics industries, promoting, ate the same time, intersectorial cooperation and innovation.
It aims to encourage the increase of entrepreneurship within existing companies, through the training of entrepreneurs, managers and workers for entrepreneurship and innovation, translated into the emergence of new business initiatives and new companies created from existing structures, especially in industries in the Food Industry and ICT sectors and in activities in the Cultural and Creative and in Automation and Robotic industries, wich provide innovative responses to social and societal challenges.
The work methodology in co-creation in activities to stimulate ideation, to be carried out with the presence of entrepreneurs and managers, university students and highly qualified technicians, will enable companies to change and innovate based on R&D that exists in co-promoters and, from this match between the experience and know-how of companies and the scientific and technological knowledge of R&I entities, it is expected that new business initiative and new companies will result, especially in intesive sectors in technology and knowledge and/or in the cultural and creative industries.
An increase in the presence of qualified young people in the industry of these NUTIII regions is also expected in the short and medium term, boosting the modernization of the business sector through the emergence of new companies led by highly qualified young people and stimulating the acceleration of technological innovation processes in line with the priorities of sectorial policies and capable of responding, in a competitive and sustainable way, to the social and societal changes that are a concern already assumed by the youngest group of society.
