The University of Beira Interior (UBI), in Covilhã, will host, on 20 November, the second edition of the Technical Seminar of Stone Fruit.

The aim of the event is to present the challenges and difficulties faced by producers of stone fruits, as well as prospects for the future and new technologies associated with this sector.

This event is organised by various entities and will take place taking into account three key themes for the sector: protection of stone fruits, fruitculture 4.0 and work on the farm.

The programme includes presentations on subjects such as emerging diseases in peach trees, nutrition in cherry trees, the MoMOPP project, new packaging, dissemination of preliminary results of the PrunusFito project and the prospects for fruit growing under the new Common Agricultural Policy, among others.

There will also be a round table with the theme "Young fruit farmers producing stone fruits: their difficulties and challenges".

The updated programme of the 2nd Technical Seminar on Stone Fruit and other information can be found on the event's website.
