Our member Flowtech is set to invest 1 million euros in Artificial Intelligence to develop the next generation of Flow Manufacturing.
This ongoing increase in investment is supported by the SIID – Business R&D programme over the next two years.
The project will follow the Cross-Industry Standard Process for Data Mining (CRISP-DM) methodology and will benefit from the scientific and technological support of INESC TEC, as well as the active collaboration of its clients, ensuring that the solutions developed address the real challenges facing the industry.
This investment has given rise to Flow MESsIA, an AI-powered MES, a project that combines Production Engineering, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence to make FLOW M smarter, better adapted to the production context and more decision-oriented.
The aim is clear: to help the industry move beyond mere data collection.
With this development, Flow Manufacturing will be designed to understand the operational context, support operators, supervisors and managers, anticipate problems and recommend actions in real time.
