InovCluster presents its 2030 Strategy & Action Plan in Castelo Branco.
On 5 February, InovCluster officially presented its 2030 Strategy & Action Plan at an event that brought together members, partners and stakeholders from the agri-food ecosystem to share the vision that will guide the organisation’s work over the coming years. During the session, the strategic priorities, key challenges and opportunities that will shape InovCluster’s path until 2030 were highlighted, reinforcing the organisation’s commitment to innovation, sustainability and the competitiveness of the Portuguese agri-food sector.
As part of the Hub4Food project, and in partnership with CATAA – the Agri-Food Technology Support Centre, the programme included a culinary demonstration – “Showcooking – From River to Sea: Cooking Up Stories”. Chef Leonel Barata prepared the dish “Savelha”, taking an approach that blended tradition and innovation, highlighting local produce and the region’s culinary identity.
This was followed by the presentation “The Blue Future: The Role of Seaweed in Food”, by Mário Cristóvão, who highlighted the potential of seaweed as a sustainable and innovative resource in the food sector. The session fostered a genuine citizen science initiative, raising awareness of the opportunities associated with products sourced from the Atlantic Ocean and emphasising the role of the blue economy in transforming the food sector.
The event was characterised by knowledge-sharing, networking and the joint development of solutions geared towards a more innovative, sustainable future with strong links to the Atlantic.
