INOVFOOD SUMMIT'22 SUCCESS GUARANTEES CONTINUITY OF THE EVENT IN 2023 

 

On 10 November, the first edition of InovFood Summit'22, the event organised by InovCluster - Association of the Agro-Industrial Cluster of the Centre, dedicated to Innovation, Sustainability and Digital Transition in the agri-food sector, ended.

For three days, around 50 reference speakers in the sector, including the Minister of Territorial Cohesion, Ana Abrunhosa, and more than 300 participants on 8, 9 and 10 November, passed by the Centre for Contemporary Culture, in Castelo Branco.

The success of the event dictated and guaranteed its continuity, and the second edition - InovFood Summit'23, was assured by the President of InovCluster, Dr. Patrícia Coelho, at the closing session of the event.

There were various contributions related to the themes in focus, from the importance of resilience in agrifood and how innovation and adaptability can contribute to the continuity of companies in the market; the path that agrifood is taking in the field of digital transition; as well as good practices, in terms of sustainability, already implemented in the sector.

Several studies developed under the scope of the Centre Region Cheese Enhancement Programme were also presented; inspirational talks were held on the enhancement of territories through endogenous products and a successful case of PDO production; as well as the launch of the new brand "Queijos do Centro Portugal".

In parallel, sessions also took place under the Inov2B projects - which brought together players from the Entrepreneurial ecosystem of NUT III Beira Baixa - and Fusilli - through a workshop on healthy and sustainable food.
