InovCluster integrates a European project aimed at Capacity Building for Management Excellence and Exchange between its Members and those of other International Clusters.

InovCluster, in its continuous improvement strategy, started a new European project: the AgriFoodX5.0 project.

It is co-funded by the European Union, through the COSME Programme - Clusters Excellence, which aims to empower the Clusters' management teams for excellence management, facilitate the exchange between other international Clusters and establish strategic partnerships between Clusters and specialized ecosystems across Europe. The project aims to offer InovCluster's associated SMEs and the other partner clusters of the project, a Programme of Integrated Services in the scope of Digitalisation and Green Transition, based on Collaboration, Networking and aiming at learning best practices and creating business opportunities and innovation integration.

The project is led by the Lithuanian Innovation Center, Lithuania, and has four other partners: Clusaga - Association cluster Alimentario de Galicia, Spain, the Food Products Quality Cluster (FPQC) Latvia, the SMART Food Cluster (LITMEA), Lithuania and InovCluster Portugal.

The AgriFoodX5.0 project, with a duration of two years, will have as main target audience the coordinators and management teams of the partner Clusters, the associated SMEs of the clusters promoting the project from the agri-food and ICT sectors, and also other members of other European Clusters linked to these two sectors. Indirect beneficiaries of the project may be other European clusters, national and regional authorities and policy makers, who may benefit from the results and conclusions drawn from this project.

The project, which started in February this year, had its first face-to-face meeting in Santiago de Compostela on 7 and 8 June 2022 and was attended by all the project partners. In this work meeting the strategies of the partnership were analysed, ways to improve the competences of the Clusters' management teams and strategies for the implementation of the ClusterXchanges were discussed. The ClusterXchange activities, to be developed during this project, are exclusive to InovCluster's associates and aim to promote the creation of bilateral relationships with other companies and international entities with commercial and innovation promotion objectives in cooperation.

In addition to the project's partner Clusters, other entities from the Galicia region attended this meeting: OTD Anfaco-Cecopesca, Instituto Tecnológico de Galicia, Datalife DIH, GAIN Axencia galega de innovación, Clúster TIC Galicia, Feuga and the Honorary Consul of Lithuania in Galicia, who shared their industry experiences in promoting Digitalisation in SMEs, and the Green Transition, in particular for the Agri-food Sector.
